Easter Brunch Date!

Easter Brunch Inspiration!

For this Easter Holiday, I decided to focus on my son and style a date brunch idea around an egg hunt!  A Mother and Son day date <3

Our backyard is the perfect Easter backdrop with the white picket fence so we set up our table for two in front of the vegetable garden.  My inspiration came from all things that make me think Easter minus the plastic 😉 :  Tulips, bunnies, carrots, eggs, lettuce, pastels…

Our table is topped with an extra long linen tablecloth, lettuce china, green depression glass, and gold flatware.

Watercolor elements added in the stationary… Directions for the hunt on large signage! Hand cut bunny shaped name tags with pink velvet ribbon topped the place settings.  You can make your own with our template HERE! An elegant take on the traditional Easter basket. More watercolor stationary in the invitation set!  Mini donuts, candy eggs, and lavender icing were the inspiration for this Easter Drip Cake. Time for the Egg Hunt!! Happy Easter!!

A Date Night Flamingle!

Let’s Flamingle!

I don’t know about you, but I have fallen head over heels for the Flamingo craze over the course of this year!  This backyard date idea is an explosion of flamingo fun perfect for outdoor summer dining.  I’m usually ALL about keeping themes subtle but I just had to bring it up a notch for this Florida favorite…

Special thanks to my lovely friend, Danae, for modeling the date!

These geometric plates are what first inspired the theme!  Paired with a translucent pink dinner plate, pink napkin, and opaque menu. Love ghost chairs, especially when there is so much to see int the background like the tropical ginger plants.  Vintage pink silverware <3  Flamingo earings!! Flamingos everywhere! Pink inspired donut cake…  The stationary is a mixture of watercolor and translucent papers.  I love that you can see the flamingos popping through the opaque main envelope! Donut board!

Valentine’s Day 2017 Inspiration!

Styled for Two ~ Valentine’s Day Inspiration!

For this year’s Valentine styled date, I took a little design exploration into the world of pinks and SUGAR.  I love the idea of having a tasting bar at parties like the super popular Donut Bar, Macaron tower, or Ice Cream bar.  I thought, why not combine them and make a mixer!  Grab a waffle cone and load up on a mix of a sugar cocktail <3

The design inspiration came from these plates I found at Pier One Imports in blush tones.  I first created the watercolor invitation suite and then went on a hunt for all the matching pieces.  Discovery:  Making your own envelopes is really easy!styledfortwo date night inspiration_0001Spray paint and backyard tropicals mixed with roses and fresh greens.Ombre collection of Macarons!styledfortwo date night inspiration_0004And an assortment of delicious Valentine Donuts, yummmmmmm.  I found these adorable copper and fur stools at HomeGoods.styledfortwo date night inspiration_0005styledfortwo date night inspiration_0007styledfortwo date night inspiration_0008Picked up these pink scrabble tiles on amazon, perfect for a casual “words with friends” game to end your tasty Valentine date! styledfortwo date night inspiration_0009
